I’m jon. A 25 year old photographer in the Dallas Metroplex. I really enjoy photographing the beauty, emotions, and intimacy of life. I am totally self taught, I don’t believe in needing someone to teach you, I believe anyone can do it on their own. There are so many resources available on the internet to learn ANYTHING, I’ve spent many hours and many days reading every photography book I could get my hands on, especially sitting on a Barnes and Nobles floor learning to my hearts content. I do learn most of my stuff through forums and blogs. beckersblog.com and fredmiranda.com are some of my favorites. I really enjoy photographing weddings - the hectic nature that is involved, and the awesome emotions that take place during this day - make it a really great time to be photographing someone.

I really want to make photography easier for everyone to enjoy. I believe it is one of the greatest art forms on Earth. Being able to capture the essence of life as I saw it, is really awesome to have the pleasure of doing. My packages make it really simple for anyone to get photos of them, I include a thumbdrive with all of the photos, so you can print them on your own. I also setup an online photo ordering gallery to allow your family and friends to purchase prints without having to bug you to do it, and to print larger high quality prints even on canvas.

I use tons of the latest and greatest software for organizing, editing, and designing. Here is a list of my most used software. 

 

Adobe Lightroom (importing, organizing, editing, printing photos) - This program is truely badass.

Adobe Photoshop (editing pixel level detail, and the few things i can’t do with lightroom)

Adobe Illustrator (logo design, ideas, this is basically my playground)

Adobe InDesign (album layout and design)

Wordpress (webpage development and deployment)

Canon 50mm 1.8 (fantastic plastic, cheap but sweet lens, some pros use this lens only to shoot a wedding, crazy)

4 Lexar 16GB Compact Flash cards

Hyperdrive 120GB Compact Flash card storage (backup during wedding for ultimate reliability)
